Protecting Personal Information

Database Security

Your personal and financial information is handled with care. Access to our databases is strictly managed, and technological and procedural systems are in place to ensure security is not breached, including carefully safeguarding the physical security of our computer hardware and communications.

Your Responsibilities

To ensure your information is secure, you are responsible for protecting your PIN (Personal Identification Number, used with your banking cards), your PAC (Personal Access Code, used to identify yourself for online banking), and making sure your computing environment, including your home computer, is as safe as possible.

You should be familiar with the risks and threats associated with online banking or in-person card transactions, especially current fraud schemes. See the Security Resources section for links to more information.

In all cases, you should review the legal agreement for your online banking service and be familiar with the contents. This agreement is legally binding.
