Nova Scotia Credit Unions Charitable Foundation
The Nova Scotia Credit Unions Charitable Foundation works to enhance and enrich the lives of Nova Scotians by supporting community programs and projects in health care, education, the environment and the Arts.
The Nova Scotia Credit Unions Charitable Foundation was established on November 24, 1998. Since 2000 the Foundation has invested $500,000 in our community; $62,000 in 2007.
The foundation’s largest funder is Credit Union Central of Nova Scotia along with Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador credit unions. Individual donors and corporations have ensured support is available for our community. Since 2000, the foundation has invested $500,000 in programs and services across Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador.
A primary area of support has been Nova Scotia Community College through the Nova Scotia Credit Unions Bursary Program. Nova Scotia credit unions are proud of our long-term relationship with Nova Scotia Community College and proud to support the academic success of NSCC students.
As a registered charitable foundation, tax receipts are issued for each donation. (Chartiable Registration Number 87059475RR0001.)
